Rockanje bunker - Landscape - Michel Voogd Photography

photo-michel photo-michel

This was once a German bunker that was part of the Atlantic Wall that should protect mainland Europe against the invasion of the allies in the Second World War. Due to a shifting of the earth the bunker is now complete swallowed by the North Sea near the village of Rockanje in the Netherlands. At low tide you can walk almost all the way up to the bunker, however at high tide only a small part is visible from far away. Great object for a minimalism photo.
