In the past, ladders were made of wood, then steel and then aluminum. For many years they had the ordinary aluminum color, but since about 2006 they were offered also in anthracite just like on this 32 meter ladder from the Telfs Fire Brigade in Austria. The ladder is manufactured by the German company Metz from Karlsruhe which is nowadays taken over by Rosenbauer from Austria. It is a so called articulated ladder which means that the top part of the ladder can bend. The whole is built on the Mercedes-Benz 1833L Econic chassis in 2012.
