In the north of France, not far from the Channel, the Sapeurs-Pompiers du Pas de Calais has placed this ladder on Saint Omer Fire Station. A 33 meter long ladder, like this one, consists normally of 4 elements. But in an attempt to make the ladder shorter in the driving position, manufacturer Gimaex used 5 elements. That makes the ladder able to drive also on the more narrow streets. As a chassis, the Renault Midlum 300DXi was chosen when it was built in 2013.
